A judge has jailed a man for committing his second knife crime in seven months.
Christopher Cooke, 36, was stopped by police while driving a van in Carlisle during the early hours of May 23.
He was found to have a lock knife concealed in his sock.
Cooke admitted possessing the bladed article and was sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court today.
He committed the offence while subject to a previous court order, imposed for threatening a man with a knife last October.
Cooke, of Gelt Road, Brampton, was jailed for 10 months.
An order was made for the blade to be forfeited and destroyed.
