A MAN who assaulted two people in Workington was told by a judge that jail is now "a real possibility".
Ryan Edward Johnston, 31, entered guilty pleas to two offences when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (FRI).
Johnston accepted assaulting Ray Kirkbride, causing him actual bodily harm, and assaulting Danielle Stewart by beating. The crimes were committed on 6th February.
Recorder Kevin Grice adjourned the case and asked for a background report on Johnston, of Skelsceugh Road, Winder, Frizington.
But noting the defendant's "significant" criminal record, Recorder Grice told him: "An immediate custodial sentence is a real possibility."
Johnston was remanded on bail, and is due to learn his fate at the crown court on 3rd June.
