RIDING on mobility scooters, grandma Barbie and grandpa Ken brought up the rear of Abbeytown's Carnival parade today.
Pinocchio, SpongeBob and a Shetland pony transformed into a unicorn were also part of the parade led by this year's queen, Lucy Mitchell, nine, who was dressed in black as Maleficent.
Bob Cottrell, 62, who was loving life as Grandpa Ken, said of the carnival: "It's a good time, good weather and good crack."
The parade through Abbeytown kicked off the carnival which also included a sports day, three bouncy castles, entertainment and egg throwing competitions.
