Four people are being quizzed by police after officers raided homes on Carlisle's Raffles estate today.
Cumbria Police confirmed that the arrests – of three men aged 25, 27, and 44, and a woman aged 25 – have come as part of an ongoing drugs related investigation.
All four suspects were arrested on suspicion of conspiring to supply class A and B drugs and money laundering.
No more details have as yet been released. Nor is it known whether any illegal substances have been seized.
A police spokeswoman said: “They are currently being questioned by police.”
Eye-witnesses who contacted the News & Star said they saw a large number of police officers and vehicles in the Brookside and Raffles Avenue area shortly after 10am today.
