A Carlisle road will be closed for up to four weeks while flood-recovery works are carried out.
Work will begin on Rickerby Park Road, which runs through Rickerby Park, off Brampton Road, on Monday.
Cumbria County Council workers will be resurfacing the route as well as carrying out drainage improvement works.
The road will be closed throughout the works - expected to last about four weeks - and parking within Rickerby Park will be restricted at times.
A spokesman for the council said: "Throughout the works there will be traffic marshals posted on site to advise on [parking].
"These works are the beginning of an Infrastructure Recovery Programme being implemented countywide due to the damage sustained by the floods caused by Storm Desmond."
