Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze in a cottage in west Cumbria.
Crews from both Workington and Whitehaven responded to a house fire at Pica Cottages, in Pica.
The incident involved the main power supply into the building.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said the insulation had caught fire at about 6.40pm on Friday.
Carbon dioxide was used to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera was used to check for further fire in the roof.
Whitehaven remained at the scene until electrical engineers arrived.
