A man involved extreme porn must wait to learn his fate after a judge said she wanted to know more about the new life he is planning to start in Russia.

Ian Turner, 41, was due to be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court after previously admitting four counts of possessing almost 100 illegal extreme pornographic movies found by police on his computer.

Turner had viewed the movies before starting the download process. But the court heard there was no evidence to suggest he had gone on to look at them after that time.

Greg Hoare, defending, revealed that Turner had secured employment in Russia - teaching English to businessmen. It was stated that this employment was "still likely" to be open to Mr Turner, along with the necessary visa, following his court appearance.

But as she considered her sentence, Judge Barbara Forrester expressed worries and announced that she needed full clarification of Turner's job offer.

Judge Forrester adjourned the case until Friday.

In the meantime, Turner, of Mid Street, Whitehaven, was remanded on bail.
