BOTH the police and ambulance service were called to a four-car crash in Brampton this afternoon (Wednesday).

Police were called to the scene on the A69 at Naworth, near Brampton shortly after 2pm.

A spokesman for Cumbria police said that the incident involved a black Vauxhall Corsa being driven by a 66-year-old man from Durham, a red Renault Clio being driven by a 58-year-old woman from Gretna and a black Honda Jazz being driven by a 65-year-old man from Penrith. A silver Mazda was also involved but no details for the driver are known as it was a company car.

The spokesman added: "The North West Ambulance Service was also called to the scene but no-one suffered any injuries."
