Emergency services have been called after a bus has become wedged in scaffolding in Whitehaven town centre.
Police were alerted to the incident on the corner of Duke Street and Scotch Street at around 9.30pm. The double-decker Stagecoach bus had turned the corner and got caught on scaffolding.
"There was no passengers on board," said a police spokesperson.
They added that after an initial assessment by the police, firefighters were also called.
The crew has been using hydraulic equipment to remove parts of the bus and cut parts of the scaffolding, in a bid to free the vehicle. Scaffolders are also helping at the scene.
Part of Duke Street has been closed while work is ongoing.
