DRIVERS are facing major delays on the M6 in Cumbria.

Traffic is affected between junction 37 and junction 38 at Tebay on the northbound carriageway.

At least two lanes are reported to be closed because of an overturned vehicle and debris on the road.

It happened at about 4.45pm but it's not expected to be midnight before the road is completely clear.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "A campervan has crashed and it's gone over all three lanes. All the contents and it's spilled diesel so that's a problem because it's contaminated the surface of the motorway."
