A 63 year old man was treated by members of Cockermouth Mountain Rescue team after falling down a banking at Crummock Water this afternoon.
The team was called to the scene, near the boathouse, at around 4pm.
The man had been pulled off his feet by his dog and injured his leg, arm and head in the fall.
He was treated at the scene before being transferred to an ambulance at the Lanthwaite Woods car park.
He was then taken to the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven for further treatment.
