Motorists travelling to or from the north east this morning are being warned to expect delays following an accident.
A fuel tanker has been in collision with three other vehicles, resulting in a fuel spillage.
It is affecting traffic on the A69 Carlisle to Newcastle road near Hexham, where it is closed.
A diversion is in place but police are reporting queuing traffic and warning of delays.
