A father and daughter have pleaded not guilty to a manslaughter charge which relates to the death of a 91-year-old woman.
Peter Paul Fairclough, 72, and Jacqueline Fairclough, 43, appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today.
During a 20-minute hearing in front of Judge Peter Davies, Peter Fairclough and Jacqueline Fairclough each denied a charge of manslaughter.
This alleges that they unlawfully killed Maude White - their mother-in-law and grandmother, respectively - on May 27 last year.
Sitting side-by-side in the dock, the pair listened as a timetable for the case was outlined by the prosecution and defence barristers.
A trial date was listed for November 14 at the crown court. It is estimated this will last seven to 10 days and will take place in front of a High Court judge.
Peter Fairclough and Jacqueline Fairclough, both of Wyndham Hall Caravan Park, Cockermouth, were remanded on unconditional bail by Judge Davies.
