Firefighters from Carlisle and Longtown have been tackling a kitchen fire this morning.
The crews used one hose reel jet to put out the fire after being called to the house near Ghyllwood, in Low Harker, just after 10.30am.
Two firefighters wore breathing apparatus while they tackled the blaze before using a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said that officers were called to the scene just after 10.40am. He added: "Police are working with the fire and rescue service to establish the cause of the fire.
