SHOPPERS have been sampling a range of tasty treats in Carlisle today.
The Carlisle Foodies Fest, which is being held in the city centre, has welcomed a host of local suppliers who are offering their own unique, homemade products ranging from cupcakes, to fudge and preserves.
The Carlisle Brewing Co has also set up a 'prosecco and pints' yurt.
Meanwhile youngsters have also had the opportunity to join in, with workshops led by Pyjama Drama taking place while food enthusiasts have also had the opportunity to enjoy live cooking demonstrations by Sean Wilson, who shot to fame as Martin Platt in ITV's Coronation Street.
"I've always loved cooking," Sean, who founded the Saddleworth Cheese Co in 2009, said. "Since I was young it's something that I've enjoyed doing and after Coronation Street it's something that I wanted to focus on."
Sean has been making a range of dishes, including seabass and a traditional roast beef with Yorkshire puddings. "I've just been making the things I like making," he said.
The Foodies Fest is also being held in the city centre tomorrow, with a demonstrations from Michelin-star chef Michael Caines.
