A man who committed a string of child sex crimes has been jailed for five years by a judge at Carlisle Crown Court.
Dane Ashley Chambers, 23, was locked up having pleaded guilty to four offences against a girl aged under 16.
Chambers admitted three counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and a child abduction charge.
The lengthy prison term was imposed by Judge Peter Davies, who said that Chambers had targeted a vulnerable victim.
Chambers, of Musgrave Street, Penrith, was supported in court by his parents and grandmother.
His lawyer, Philip Andrews, told the court: "He feels very, very ashamed of himself.
"This is a young man who has learned a very significant lesson."
He was also ordered to sign the sex offenders' register for life and was was made the subject of a sexual harm prevention order for 10 years.
He was told by Judge Davies: "Girls like that, even though they are imprudent or unwise do not have the experience of age; they do not have the experience of maturity.
"They need to be protected against themselves. They need to be protect against the likes of you."
