Carlisle man, 64, facing six child rape charges
A 64-year-old Carlisle man has today appeared before magistrates to face a dozen child sex allegations, including six charges of rape.
The charges against Thomas Donoghue, of Lingmoor Way, also include four indecent assault allegations and two of gross indecency.
There was one alleged victim, according to the prosecution.
Magistrates sitting at the city's Rickergate courts complex sent the case to Carlisle Crown Court for a hearing on September 5.
The defendant, who entered no pleas, was granted bail.
