Carlisle arrest in armed robbery probe
Police investigating an armed robbery in Maryport have arrested a man in Carlisle.
A 47-year-old man, from Workington, was arrested on suspicion of robbery at The Lanes Shopping Centre this afternoon.
It follows an incident yesterday morning at the Post Office on Maryport's High Street.
The man is currently being questioned by police.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident and are still appealing for any witnesses to come forward with information.
