A burst pipe is causing water problems in Hartsop village near Patterdale.
The leak on a water main in Harstop is affecting people in the CA11 area, who have had no water or just a trickle since about 6.45pm this evening.
A team of engineers from United Utilities are on the way to sort out the problem.
A post on United Utilities' website states: "A team of engineers are on the way to Hartsop Village to begin repairs to the burst water pipe."
The company apologised for any trouble the water shortage caused and said they would get taps flowing normally as soon as possible.
