Two brothers from Whitehaven swung weapons at a group of people during a late night confrontation.
Michael Sean Wilson, 27, was armed with a baseball bat during the incident at Moor Row, while 24-year-old sibling Ryan Thomas Wilson had a hammer.
Both were brought before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court following the trouble, which flared on January 20.
Today the brothers each admitted charges of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.
Sentencing was deferred for six months by Judge Peter Davies. He ordered the pair to satisfy a number of conditions before returning to the crown court in December - and to keep out of trouble.
In the meantime, Michael Wilson, of Latrigg Road, and Ryan Wilson, of Valley View Road, were remanded on bail.
