Body found in search for missing Armathwaite man
POLICE searching for a missing fisherman have found a body on the waters edge of the River Eden near Armathwaite.
A 64-year-old angler was reported missing by his wife after he failed to return home from a fishing trip in the early hours of this morning.
Police have not yet named the man but said he was from Armathwaite.
Firefighters were called to help search for him at 10am.
A body was recovered just before 11am.
