CUMBRIA Police have confirmed that the man whose body was discovered at a bridge early on Friday morning has been identified.

Members of his family are being supported, police said tonight.

Meanwhile officers are continuing their investigations after the man's body was discovered on the A689 at Middle Gelt Bridge, between Hayton and Talkin.

The body of the man, believed to be in his 20s, was found by a member of the public at around 6.50am on Friday.

Police state that the man's death is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
