A West Cumbrian betting shop was evacuated this afternoon after a gas leak.
Staff and customers were forced to leave Ladbrokes on Senhouse Street, Maryport, after a smell of gas was reported.
Engineers from Northern Gas Networks arrived just after 2pm and found a corroded service pipe at the back of the building.
A spokesman said: "It was quickly made safe and there was no effect on supply to neighbouring properties."
The shop has now reopened.
