Kendal Calling Ltd has been fined after a worker received a severe electric shock at Lowther Park, near Penrith, where the event is held, in 2010.

Donald Berry was delivering portable buildings to a camping field at the site when one hit an overhead power cable, which was seven and a half metres off the ground and carrying 11,000 volts.

He suffered brain damage, which has left him immobile and in need of 24-hour care for the rest of his life.

The company was fined £20,000 and told to pay £25,000 legal costs at Carlisle Crown Court today.
