Hunks from the hit TV show Hollyoaks are coming to Cumbria to take part in a charity football match.
The cast of the Channel 4 programme will be taking on a CFM team next Saturday at Workington Reds ground.
Captaining the Hollyoaks team will be Nick Pickard, who plays Tony in the show, with Jimmy McKenna (Jack) as manager.
The team will be Ashley Taylor Dawson (Darren), Danny Mac (Dodger), Jamie Lomas (Warren), Anthony Quinlan (Gilly), Craig Vye (Ethan), Calvin Denba (Scott), Tosin Cole (Neil), Dylan Llewellyn (Jono) and Niko Mirallegro (Newt).
Also on the team is James Atherton, who plays Will, and it’s a return to home ground for him as he comes from Carlisle.
Organisers stressed that the line-up was not definite and may be subject to change.
The full line-up for the CFM Allstars has not yet been revealed, but it will include staff from the radio station and players from Workington Reds football team including boss Darren Edmondson.
Organiser Diane Campbell, CFM’s Cash for Kids charity manager, organised a similar event 13 years ago. Nick Pickard was playing for the Hollyoaks side and since then they have stayed in touch and became good friends, organising matches around the country.
“We are really looking forward to it,” said Mrs Campbell.
“This is potentially Nick’s last match that he’ll be organising. He’s really excited to come back to Workington because it has come full circle.
“I’m really looking forward to it. We wanted to bring it back to Workington because lots goes on around Carlisle and less in west Cumbria.”
Mrs Campbell said she is hoping for a bumper crowd as the ground holds 3,000 people.
After the match there will be a party at Chasers Bar in Workington from 9pm with the players. VIP tickets can be purchased in advance for people to get in first and meet the players. Normal admission costs £2 with a donation to the Cash for Kids charity.
