Firefighters tackle Penrith roof blaze

Firefighters put out a blaze in the roof space of a property on Brougham Street at around 4.10pm yesterday.

Three appliances were sent to the scene and the fire was put out using hose reel jets and a covering jet.

Two firefighters used breathing apparatus the crews also used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
