POLICE officers who only a stopped a man because he was late in paying his fines found he was carrying the class A drug cocaine, as well as Ecstasy.
Aaron Giacopazz1, 26, of Gloucester Road, Currock, admitted both possession offences.
City magistrates were told that Giacopazzi was an “unlucky man,” as he was only stopped by officers because of the arrest warrant for non-payment of fines.
He admitted his guilt straight away, and told officers he was at a party the night before and that's why he had the drugs.
He had 6 Ecstasy tablets, (a class C drug) and all were for his own personal use.
John Greenwood, defending, said Giacopazzi had a poor record with a number of convictions. But, his girlfriend is now pregnant, and she has told him he must get his life turned around otherwise “she won't stick by him”.
Giacopazzi was fined £110 for the class A drug offence and for the class B drug £50, plus court costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £15.
