DJ Sara Cox out of Carlisle Racecourse show

DJ Sara Cox has pulled out of the Ultimate Ladies Night at Carlisle Racecourse.
The broadcaster was due to come to the city on Monday, August 6 to play her own mix of music and entertain the crowd after the evening’s last race.
But she was forced to pull out due to radio commitments.
The racecourse made the announcement via Twitter (see below) and its own website.

A statement on its website said: "We are sorry to announce that Sara Cox is now unable to perform on Ultimate Ladies Night.
"We are working on arranging some alternative entertainment for after the racing. We will release details as soon as possible and will still be having the usual racing, fashion and fun on the night."
The course has now confirmed that Envy UK - a Take That and Westlife tribute band - will provide the musical entertainment.
They will be on stage for 30 minutes as a Westlife tribute and then spend a further half-hour as Take That, with some general party songs thrown in for good measure.
The course is also now offering a money-saving offer of tickets for £12 if bought in advance.
Full refunds will be offered to anyone who booked in advance if they return their tickets by Friday, August 3. For tickets that are not returned, the racecourse will refund the £4 difference between the original £16 price and the new price. The £4 refund will be processed after the event.
Admission on the night remains at £20.
Cox's pull-out was the second setback for the Durdar course this summer.
Earlier this month the venue had to cancel a gig by Madness - who were due to perform at the Stobart Summer Festival - after days of heavy rain left the ground waterlogged.
More than 7,500 tickets had been sold for the concert. Refunds were issued.

I wonder how many sad women are wailing over this. Still, it may mean they wake up to the vacuity of their 'ambitions' of looking like fake plastic celebs.
After all, this is what the majority going to Ladies Night think of themselves, that they are ''the next big thing'' and live in some bizarre make believe 'celeb' world, fuelled by reading too many gossip mags and watching episodes of TOWIE..View all 16 comments on this article

For how to put on a show Carlisle.....look up WHITEHAVEN. Its even more difficult to get to than Carlisle but somehow doesn't seem to suffer from "acts" pulling out in the same way.
