Cumbrian pub raiders steal fruit machines

Burglars forced their way into a pub and stole two fruit machines.

The break-in happened at the Border Reiver Inn, in Holmrook Road, Sandsfield Park, Carlisle, between 2.30am and 6.45am on Saturday.

The intruders managed to unplug and drag the two fruit machines out of the pub, and into a nearby alley behind Yewdale Community Centre. They then broke open the machines and stole a large quantity of cash, believed to be up to £1,000.
