Cumbrian petrol stations caught short-changing drivers

Spot-checks are being carried out at petrol stations across Cumbria to ensure drivers aren’t being short-changed when filling up.
Asdaâs petrol trading director Andy Peake said: âThis shows that Asda is once again leading the way in reducing prices at the pumps.â
Is this the same company that threw 10p a litre ON when they realised there was panic buying? The article doesn't imply anything - it is what it is. Weights & Measures staff are not "regular" visitors to the pumps and fiddling most certainly can go on and not be apportioned to manufacturers' defects. Don't be naiive - if there is money to be fiddled, there are people who will tamper/tinker with the pumps. You'll be telling me next that it's impossible to falsely abstract electricity or gas from the metered supply to your house as these meters are foolproof. Wake up, smell the flowers and realise there is big money to be made from dishonesty and it's our money they are stealing unless these stations are named. This isn't a new crime either!

Have your say
Name and Shame them!
