Cumbrian motorist injured by missile

Police say a man suffered significant facial injuries after he was hit by an object thrown through the open window of his van.

The incident happened around 3.15pm yesterday on Ashfield Road in Workington.

The man was driving a white VW Golf van.

Anyone who saw what happened is being urged to call Cumbria police on 101.
