Cumbrian milk thieves have a lotta bottle

POLICE are on the trail milk thieves who have been swiping bottles from doorsteps.

Officers said the culprits had targeted homes in Silloth and Wigton with a string of offences over the last five months.

One suspect was spotted jumping from a car before grabbing a bottle, running back to the car and making his get-a-way.

One suspect spotted was said to be aged 16 or 17 and of slim build. He wore a grey hooded jacket.

Police are appealing for information on 101.
