Cumbrian man who died week after car crash named

A man who died a week after a car crash was today named as 66-year-old David Latimer.
Mr Latimer, from Gelt Road in Brampton, died in hospital after his Toyota Land Cruiser was involved in an accident on the A69 with a Mazda in Hexham.
He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle after the accident on July 20 but died on Friday.
The Mazda was driven by a 33-year-old man, who suffered minor injuries.
Northumbria police are investigating the crash which took place on the eastbound carriageway at the junction for Upper Denton in Hexham.
Any witnesses are asked to contact officers on 101, extension 69191.
