Cumbrian man kicked in door at ex-partner's house

A man admitted kicking in the door of his ex-girlfriend’s house while their two-year-old son was inside.

Kenneth Tippey Riley, 24, of Mona Road, Salterbeck, Workington, admitted criminal damage when he appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.

He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £403 compensation and a £15 surcharge.

Riley had gone round to the house of his ex-girlfriend Lisa Morrison in Flimby on October 3.

John Moran, prosecuting, said Ms Morrison heard him shouting and when she didn’t respond she heard a large crash and saw the door had cracked and buckled.
