Cumbrian man facing trial over historic sex assault charges

A west Cumbrian man is to go on trial in the summer on charges that he repeatedly sexually assaulted a schoolboy nearly 40 years ago.

Colin Storr, 53, of Chaucer Avenue, Egremont, pleaded not guilty at Carlisle Crown Court today to three charges of indecent assault.

They related to incidents that allegedly happened between September 1974 and September 1976.

Storr was remanded in custody and will go on trial on July 7.
