Cumbrian man facing indecent images charges

A man has appeared in court accused of making and possessing hundreds of indecent images of children and animals.
Dennis Hiram Campbell, 60, of King Street, Aspatria, faces 15 charges that he made a total of 370 indecent photographs, levels one to five, of children aged between three and 16.
He also faces three charges of possessing 54 extreme pornographic images of animals.
The offences are alleged to have taken place between May 2009 and June 2011.
Campbell did not enter pleas when he appeared at West Cumbria Magistrates Court.
His case was committed to Carlisle Crown Court to be heard on September 10.
