A man has ended up in court after causing a disturbance while out celebrating his 18th birthday.
Connor Newall, of Mill Road, Glasson, near Wigton, admitted using threatening behaviour and obstructing a constable when he appeared before magistrates in Carlisle.
The court heard Newall went out celebrating in Carlisle three days after he turned 18.
Pam Ward, prosecuting, told the court that Newall was refused entry into a bar at 3am on the morning of October 6.
He became angry and was told to leave the area by police officers. As he walked away he shouted abuse towards the officers.
Shortly after this police were called to a disturbance on Warwick Road where they found Newall being held down on the ground by a club bouncer waiting for officers to arrive.
Mrs Ward said police used PAVA incapacity spray to calm him down but as he was still agitated and shouting abuse he was handcuffed and put in leg restraints.
Magistrates fined him £70 with court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £20.
