WORK to prevent the Alcester Road in Hollywood from flooding is set to get under way in February.
Worcestershire County Council will remove the existing pipe, which carries water under the road, and replace it with a larger reinforced drain.
The work, which is set to start on Monday, February 5, is expected to take 12 weeks.
The road will be closed between New Road and Highters Heath Lane from Monday, February 19 for eight weeks.
A diversion will be set up during the work.
Access for Alcester Road residents will not be affected.
