Cumbria police probe bus stop race hate incident

A woman was racially abused by one of two teenage girls who passed her as she was waiting for a bus at the West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven at 8.15pm on Wednesday.

Police are treating the incident as a racially-aggravated public order offence.

They have issued descriptions of the girls, both white, slim and aged 13 to 16.

One had shoulder-length light-brown hair and was wearing a blue hooded jacket. The other was in a grey-hooded jacket.
