Cumbria police probe after cat shot dead

Police are investigating after a pet cat was found dead with a pellet wound.
The four-year-old black and white cat went missing on Tuesday but was found dead on Thursday afternoon on wasteland near Brisco Mount/Brisco Road in Egremont..
Police are treating the death as suspicious and are keen to speak to members of the public who may have seen anything unusual.
Anyone with information should call PC Robert Forbes at Whitehaven police station on 101.
