Cumbria police hunt yob who damaged cars, tried to flood house

Police are hunting a vandal who targeted a house in Dalston, vandalising two cars and pouring water through the letter box with a hosepipe.

The bizarre attack happened in the early hours of Saturday.

The targeted house, which was flooded after the hose was turned on, was in Lingeyclose, Dalston.

Police confirmed today that one of the cars at the property, a Mini Cooper, was daubed with paint, while a second vehicle had a brick thrown at it.

A wheelie bin was also placed on the bonnet of one of the two cars.

Police are investigating and are appealing for witnesses to get in touch.

Anybody who can help the investigation is urged to contact PC Adam Atkinson at Brampton Police Station, using the non-emergency number 101.
