Cumbria house window smashed by bullet

Police are investigating after a house next to the old A66 in Cumbria had a rear window smashed by a bullet.

It is believed that the small bullet was fired some time during the afternoon or evening of last Thursday or on the morning of Friday at Temple Sowerby.

It came from the direction of the new bypass, or from fields next to a nearby river, say police. Anybody with information which could help the investigation should call PCs Fairweather or Shay at Penrith police station on 101.

Yes, it's disgusting and fines should be increased

No, the penalties are okay as they are - and why don't cat owners get fined too?

Yes but councils should use the money to provide many more bins for owners to put their dog's mess
