Crash closes main A595 road near Carlisle

The main A595 road near Carlisle has been reopened following a crash.
The smash took place between Cardewlees and the Thursby roundabout.
Two vehicles were involved - a Ford Fiesta and a Toyota Yaris.
The driver of the Yaris was taken to Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary. The extent of her injuries is not known.
The female driver of the Fiesta has not been taken to hospital, it is understood.
One of the drivers had to be cut free from her car by firefighters.
The road was closed from about 11am to 1.50pm. Diversions were put in place.
