The Britain’s Got Talent winners, who include Carlisle’s Matthew Pagan, say they are delighted to be joining the ranks of the showbusiness superpower.

The theatre music boyband have been catapulted to stardom after millions of viewers watched them take the television show’s crown in a live final showdown last Saturday.

An ever-expanding army of fans have been eagerly awaiting news of where the victory would take the group, beyond the £250,000 winners’ cheque and place at the Royal Variety Show that the win has already earned them.

Cowell said today: “Collabro were worthy winners of Britain’s Got Talent.

“I am delighted to welcome them to Syco and look forward to them starting work on their debut album.”

Collabro tweeted: “We are so excited to confirm we have signed with Syco and are already in the studio.”

Music industry insiders are tipping Collabro for global glory. They have spent this week on the media circuit, doing interviews on a string of high-profile shows.
