Charity single launched on Cumbrian miracle boy's first birthday

Their beaming smiles reveal the true miracle, as little Noah Wall’s family celebrate his first birthday and unveil a charity single.
The youngster, from Abbeytown, was not even expected to survive his own birth after doctors diagnosed him with spina bifida and hydrocephalus in the womb.
His doting family are today overjoyed to be celebrating his first birthday, and all the milestones he has achieved along the way.
Noah has said his first word, begun to sit up on his own, is rolling over and kicking his legs.
Devoted parents Michelle and Robert used the special occasion to launch their new charity website and the specially-commissioned charity single.
Called Hugs for Noah, the charity aims to raise money not only to make the adaptations needed to allow their son to live a relatively normal life at home, but also for care in the future.
The song, Noah’s Ark, was written, composed and recorded for the family by musician Rich James.
Rich, from the Midlands, said: “I have known Shelly for a couple of years via Twitter. We were tweeting to each other at the end of last year about Noah and his charity.
“She said she was interested in a charity song being recorded to benefit her son – a children’s song.”
His music is predominantly electronic dance music featured in television dramas such as Skins and Hollyoaks, and Rich admitted he had never tried to write a children’s song.
Despite this, he was determined to help and offered the Walls his musical services.
The lyrics were written by Rich’s wife Sarah, a primary school teacher, her only remit being it had to include animals.
The finished product is being showcased for the first time on the new Hugs for Noah website today, including the chance to download the lyrics and sheet music.
The track will be available to buy worldwide via the usual online stores from Monday, April 22.
All revenue from the sale and broadcast of the single are being donated to Hugs for Noah.
Rich said: “I think Shelly and her family, including little Noah, are quite wonderful people and very caring. I am proud, as is my wife, to have been involved in this worthwhile project.”
Michelle, 41, said: “I am so grateful and so excited about the single.
“Today is a very special day – we do not know how many birthdays we will have with Noah, and so we want to make each and every one a very special occasion.”
