Charity collector attacked outside Carlisle pub

A charity collector was attacked outside a Carlisle pub.

The woman was collecting donations outside the Griffin, on Court Square, when she was assaulted at about 5pm on Saturday.

The victim, who was in her late 50s, suffered cuts and bruises to the back of her head.

Anyone who saw the incident should call Detective Constable James Aiston on 101.
