Carlisle woman charged with fraud

A woman has appeared before magistrates accused of fraudulently collecting cash on the pretence that she was a catalogue firm agent.

Angela Gilchrist Murphy, of Greystone Road, off London Road, Carlisle, faces five counts of committing fraud by false representation, and in each case she is said to have posed as an agent for the firm Park.

The total value of the alleged fraud is £2,298.

The case was adjourned until next Tuesday.
