Carlisle police 'concerned' for missing man's safety

Police are concerned for the safety of a man last seen in Carlisle early yesterday afternoon.

Allan Atkinson, 60, was last seen in the Cumwhinton Road area of the city at 1pm and has not been heard from or seen since.

He is described as 5ft 10in tall, with short, light brown hair.

He is of medium build with a ruddy complexion.

When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans and a grey jacket with a hood.

Anyone who has seen him should call police on 101.

Mr Atkinson has been urged to contact his family or police as soon as possible to let them know he is safe and well.
