Carlisle man accused of having stun gun

A 22-year-old Carlisle man has appeared in court accused of possessing a prohibited Taser stun device and possessing the class B drug cannabis with intent to supply.

Benjamin Stout, of Red Bank Terrace, is alleged to have disguised the Taser as another object on Wednesday, March 12.

The amount of cannabis involved in the drugs charge is said to be 282 grams.

Stout was granted unconditional bail pending his appearance at Carlisle Crown Court on May 26, when he is expected to enter his pleas.
