Carlisle man, 62, facing child porn charges

A 62-year-old man has appeared in court charged with nine offences of having indecent pictures of children.

Phillip Anthony Davis, 62, of Lazonby Terrace, London Road, Carlisle, did not enter a plea when his case was heard in Carlisle magistrates court.

The court heard how the allegations dated back to Christmas Day 2012 and various dates in 2013. The final allegation relates to an alleged image classed as Level Five – the most serious category for indecent images.

The court heard how there were alleged to be more than 5,000 images. Davis was bailed to appear before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court on August 11.
